Ted Asked: Anti-gays: at what age did you choose your right or left handedness?

I keep hearing that homosexuality is a choice? Why would someone choose a way of life that brings discrimination and other forms of victimization? Now, as it's a choice, I wonder:

1. When did you choose to be left or right handed?
2. When did you choose your eye color?
3. When did you choose your height?
4. At what age did you make the decision to be heterosexual?

Refutations in advance: a.) handedness is a behavior as you perform an act with your hand b.) The Bible is not the U.S. Constitution or the law of the land; if it were, we would stone adulterers and those who work on the Sabbath!

I quite agree with you, but, as I understand it, they do not mean it is a "choice" like choosing what class to take it school…. they mean acting on the feelings is a choice. They accept the feelings are there and not by choice, but acting on them and choosing to live a gay lifestyle they see as a choice – when you could choose to suppress your feelings and live "normally".

The same way naturally left-handed kids used to be forced to write with their right – this was happening until really quite recently.

I guess you are unaware that there are many who oppose the idea of a "gay gene" in the LGB community…The simple reason?What happens when a person convinced of his/her own homosexuality is found to NOT have it?

Fact is, genetics is not an excuse because whether or not to act on that predisposition IS a choice.

3. at age fourteen i fell and fused my vertebra so i chose to stay at 6' didn't want to risk the surgery
4, at conception, i chose the heterosexual gene not the homo gene
